Hands, arms, daily tasks

Occupational therapy

An hour with an occupational therapist, for adults whose hands and arms are part of their work, their hobbies or their family.

Ana looks at the tasks you do all day, such as typing, cooking, carrying and gripping, and works out how to do them with less strain and more control.

This is for you if

  • You use your hands and arms for most of your day

  • You want your desk, tools or kitchen set up to suit you

  • You are returning to a task you stopped doing

  • You want help with grip, reach and carrying

Questions about this visit

How is this different from physical therapy?

Physical therapy looks at how your body moves. Occupational therapy looks at how you do the tasks of your day. Many people see both.

Can you come to my workspace?

We can look at photos of your desk or tools during the visit. We do not travel to workplaces.
