Questions

What people ask first

Do I need a referral?

In South Carolina, you can start without a referral. Your plan may still ask for one. If you plan to send our receipt to your plan, ask it before you book.

Do you take insurance, or Medicare?

We do not bill Medicare, Medicaid or any other plan. Your plan decides whether it will reimburse you from our receipt, and you can ask it before you book.

How does paying directly work?

You pay at the visit, or for a course of hours up front. Before your first visit we send a written estimate, so you know what to expect. How paying works is on the fees page.

How long is a visit, and who treats me?

Every visit is a full hour with one therapist, the same person each time unless you ask to meet another.

How many visits will I need?

It depends on your goals, what the exam finds and how you respond. Your therapist reviews the plan with you at each visit, and you decide whether to continue.

What should I wear and bring?

Clothes you can move in, shoes you can walk in, a list of your medicines and notes from any scan or surgery.

Will it hurt?

You may feel effort or soreness after a new exercise. We work within what you can tolerate and change what we do whenever you say so. Your therapist explains the risks of any technique before using it.

Do you offer video follow-ups?

Yes, for follow-up hours, in South Carolina and in states where our therapists are licensed. Ask when you book.

What if I was hurt in a car crash or at work?

Get emergency or medical care first. We are self-pay and do not bill an auto or workers' compensation insurer. We can give you an itemized receipt, and you can ask the payer whether it reimburses you.

Do you offer dry needling?

Yes, where South Carolina law allows it, from a therapist who has completed additional training in it. It is never part of a first visit unless you ask. Your therapist explains what it is and what the risks are first.
